You might not see actress Katrina Kaif issuing any clarification again. The actress says that there’s no point in correcting gossip that sometimes circulate around.
“What the point in coming out with a clarification. In that case, I am already fanning an existing rumour. The best way to deal with it according to me is to just let it pass,” says Katrina.
Referring to the alleged ongoing cold-war between her and actress Sonakshi Sinha, and further rumours about her not replying to Sonakshi’s apparent text messages, she adds, “What I did is not the point of contention here. The point is what I didn’t want to do. I didn’t want to show the world that it is something that bothers me. In any case, most of the times I don’t get to read or watch TV. I only get to know about such rumours when somebody tells me that he/she has read something about me. Most of the times, I tell the person not to bother about them,” she adds.
Katrina says that it is the main reason why she didn’t hop onto the Twitter bandwagon like her other Bollywood colleagues.
“We anyways talk so much about what we are doing and eating. I don’t think the audience needs to know more of us. It might be an overdose! Since I don’t want to clarify most of the things going around, coming on Twitter at that point of time doesn’t make any sense,” she says.
“I’m far too much of a private person to share everything about my life with the whole world. I’m not against who do, but it’s not something I choose,” she adds.
But the leggy beauty doesn’t want to say never.
“You can never say never. I am very active online, so you never know when I will change my mind. I recently judged an online dance show for the airline I endorse so through that process I came to know about the enormous power that internet has,” she says.

Katrina to enact Munni’s moves?
Katrina Kaif’s Sheila took on Malaika’s Munni, but will she end the item wars by turning Munni this time around?
If the latest spin from the gossip mill is to be believed, Katrina will reprise Malaika’s Munni in the Tamil remake of Dabangg, titled Osthi.
The film will have Silambarasan and Richa Gangopadhyay essaying the lead roles, but it’s now a ‘wait and watch’ time over whether Kat will make the Southern film sizzle with her Munni moves.

Coming up: Katrina’s journey in Tinseltown

Katrina Kaif readily agreed to shake a leg for Bodyguard’s title number, and didn’t even ask for a fee. Not surprisingly, her ‘friend’ Salman Khan also refers to her as part of his family. With this item number, the rumoured ex couple are back on screen together after Yuvvraj (2008), and rumours about their reunion are running strong again.

Salman-Katrina will be seen together in Ek Tha Tiger....

Ask Salman about it and he shoots back, “What’s there to react? Katrina and I are also doing Ek Tha Tiger together. Likhne waale likhenge jo unka man karega (those who have to write will write whatever they want); they have time to write such things. Why should I waste my energy on it? We would rather work harder on our films.”

A few days back, a tabloid quoted Katrina as saying thus: ‘I can’t deny my equation with him (Salman) has changed.’ But Salman isn’t amused. “What equation? I really don’t know what she said. As far as I am concerned, our equation is absolutely the same as earlier,” says the Dabangg (2010) star.
But doesn’t Salman feel such reports stem from the fact that they were in a relationship earlier? “Did I say so? Or did she say so?” he questions. “We’ve always maintained that we’re good friends and get along absolutely fine.”

And even as they shoot for Kabir Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger, Kat has stated that she’s comfortable working with him. “Yes, she is very comfortable with me and my entire family. In fact, she is a part of the family. We have known her for the longest time now,” says Salman, adding further in jest, “Like in the movie, I play Kareena’s character’s bodyguard, like that I am Katrina’s bodyguard.”

Speaking of Bodyguard, Salman claims he was always aware of its potential. In fact, when the film was being made in Malayalam, he heard the script and thought of picking it up. “I haven’t seen the Malayalam version. Atul (Agnihotri) watched it, but even before he saw it, I had told him, ‘It has an amazing plot. Pick it up. Picture hit ho, flop ho (whether the film is a hit or flop), get the story,’” he says.
Considering Salman has done high-flying action in all his films, including Wanted (2009), Dabangg and Ready, is it all physically demanding for him? “The most difficult one in terms of physical strain has been Veer (2010). But so far, I am capable of doing them (stunts) physically and am getting away with it,” he says, adding, “And I say it because I’ve done all the stunts myself in my movies. So I have been extremely lucky to do all the stunts safely and without any injury.”
Excerpts from interview:

After Wanted (2009) and Dabangg (2010), will Bodyguard be your third consecutive Eid blockbuster?
Let the Friday, the film releases decide that. Everyone wants to make a film that will surpass their last films. I’m no different. And today, we have the technical know-how to up the standards but we still haven’t discovered a hit formula. So, all you can do is make a good, sensible, emotional film and leave it at that.
But the expectations from ‘Brand Salman’ have risen?
Expectations are high because people have watched my last few films. But it’s true in other cases too. For example, you always expect a little more from your girlfriend and vice versa (smiles).
Your last two films with Kareena Kapoor, Kyun Ki! (2005) and Main Aur Mrs Khanna (2009) didn’t work. Will this one break the jinx?
In our film industry, certain people dismiss an on-screen pairing as panvati (jinxed) if their last few films haven’t worked at the Box Office. But I believe that if a heroine is perfectly suited for a particular role, why shouldn’t I get her? In Wanted, we cast Ayesha Takia in the lead because she fit the part. And the film was a superhit!
Is Katrina Kaif doing a cameo in Bodyguard or a special appearance in the title track?
I start out as her bodyguard so she appears in the title song, Aaya Re Aaya… to establish the fact. Later, of course, I become Kareena’s bodyguard.
Is Bodyguard a special film for you since your sister Alvira is co-producing it with husband Atul Agnihotri?
It doesn’t matter who is producing the film. A film is a film. People are going to spend money, from Rs 10 to Rs 400, to watch it. So, my responsibility is towards them. Once audiences like the film and they start coming in numbers, my responsibility towards the producer will be automatically fulfilled.
How is Dabangg 2 shaping up? Have you really written parts of the script?
Dabangg 2 is simply an extension of the first film. Chulbul Pandey is an interesting guy so I think we won’t have any problems with the character. In fact, we have finalised and locked the script of the sequel. I haven’t written anything in the script since it’s completely Arbaaz’s (Khan) film. Since Chulbul has shades of gray, it’s easily to meander into different genres — comedy, action and romance. Now that the character of Chulbul is established, we can easily take it to the next level.
We’ve heard that Chulbul is moving to a metro now?
Yes, Chulbul is moving to a bigger city. (Smiles) Now, there’s a lot more jhol in Dabangg 2.
Many feel you seem to be stuck on action films these days?
Nothing like that, every film has action, even Ready. For instance, you can’t call every film a musical just because it has 4-5 songs. In fact, I had to work harder on Ready because the action scenes had to make you laugh.

Have you lost weight for Ek Tha Tiger?
No, it’s just that I was training hard for the climax of Bodyguard and carried the lean look into Ek Tha Tiger. It has been just 25 days since I wrapped up Bodyguard.
You met Somy Ali recently in Bangkok while shooting for Ready?
Sure, I did. She flew down to Bangkok from Hong Kong because she had some work in Hon Kong. What’s the big deal?
Somy has said that Aishwarya Rai was responsible for your split?
(Smiles) Somy said it, so ask her. I don’t know anything.

Katrina Kaif is riding the highest wave of her career in Bollywood right now. With 3 big banner films in her kitty, the actor is making some heads turn on southern shores as well. Now, Kaif has been offered the popular item number from the Salman Khan hit Dabangg in the Tamil remake of the film.
"There are reports that Katrina has agreed to do the item number and if everything falls into place, then the song will be shot sometime next month," a source revealed to Mail Today.
There are no confirmations from Katrina’s camp, while she recently went on record to rubbish reports about an item number with Sanjay Dutt in Karan Johar’s remake of Agneepath.
The Tamil version of Dabangg, to be directed by Dharani, will be titled Osthi. The lead roles will be played by Simbu and Richa Gangopadhyay.
The film that hit the floors in May is scheduled for an Eid release, sometime in the end of August.
Some tabloid reports said that the item number was first offered to south siren Nayanthara. But she couldn’t commit as she was busy with her impending wedding to Prabhu Deva.
Director Dharani, who wanted to make the item number the highlight of the film, decided to import some Bollywood beauty to add that chutzpah.
Wait and watch this space to see whether Sheila travels to south India to transform in to Munni

kat_190Actor-singer Ali Zafar has rubbished rumours of a rift with co-stars Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif.
Rumours of the rift began making rounds after his absence was noted at the music release of ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’. Ali explained that he could not take part in the release as he as was in London for a film shooting. He also added that once he is back in town, he would have a live promotional concert with Imran and Katrina. The stars are planning to do many such live gigs across the country as a promotional tactic.
In a song ‘Madhubala’ sung by Ali himself, he is seen tossing glasses of bhang performing a hip version of ‘Bhangra’ along with Imran and Katrina.
Speaking about the track, Ali said, “It’s a fun track that we shot over four days in Mumbai in sweltering June. Since I don’t drink, I didn’t touch the ‘bhaang’ but downed glasses of cold coffee. I lost four pounds in four days.”
Between takes on the sets of the movie, Ali used to teach Katrina to play the guitar. He said, ““I taught her a few chords. She was a diligent student during the shoot but I don’t think she’s practiced much after that,” he says.
Kat is also seen sporting a bad girl look in one of the songs in the movie. Ali muses, “I was the one who urged her to go in for a more grunge look as opposed to her usual squeaky clean appearance. Dark under eye make-up, leather and boots. It’s gone down well.”

Can anyone guess what Katrina Kaif’s favourite passtime is? Watching daily soaps. Surprised? Atleast this is what Katrina claimed when she was interviewed at Big Television Awards. And when asked as to what she watches on TV, she said she doesn’t mind watching the daily soaps once in a while.

While most celebrities refrain from committing that they ever watch TV, Katrina was rather candid. But, on second thoughts, why would she watch daily soaps? We guess she watches it to get her animated expressions right or may be to improve her Hindi.

The sultry siren Katrina Kaif woes the audience wherever she goes with her grace and beauty. No guest present at BIG Television Award could dodge her mesmerising personality as she belly danced on the song Sheila ki Jawani… The song has become synonymous with her at every event she attends or performs. Not just that, Katrina will also set the floor on fire with her performance on songs from her blockbuster hit movies like Rajneeti, Singh is King and Welcome.BIG Television Awards has been judged by an esteemed jury panel consisting of the evergreen and sensuous — Zeenat Aman; small screen’s most loved bahu — Smriti Irani and seasoned actor, director and producer — Sachin Pilgaonkar, who put their vast experience and unbiased opinions along with audiences who have voted in large numbers, to decide the winners. The evening will also witness some feisty performances by the Madhuri Dixit’s chhota packet — Mahi Vijj, Bigg Boss bride Sara Khan, chulbuli Ragini Khanna and Mithun Da’s right hand — Jay Bhanushali. So get prepared to witness Katrina Ka Jalwa on BIG Television Awards at 7 pm on August 21 on Star Plus.

Katrina Kaif is now as big as the Khans at the Box Office

So, who do you have in your film? Aamir? Salman? Shah Rukh? Katrina?” Her initials may promote Manoj Bajpai’s coaching centre chain in Aarakshan, but KK is really the new Khan in Bollywood. There has never been a question mark on whether she is sellable but now Katrina Kaif is really in a league of her own. Yes, there’s Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra but our Laila is the brand new password at the box office.Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is the latest in a series of hits, superhits and blockbusters that Kats has delivered at the box office. She is in that dream win-win zone — when her films don’t do well (Yuvvraaj, Tees Maar Khan) it is the fault of the maker or her co-stars; when they do well, she gets a queen’s share of the credit. Really, Katrina Kaif can do no wrong. Whether you are an old hand like Yash Chopra or Subhash Ghai or a new hotshot maker like Zoya Akhtar or Kabir Khan, Katrina is the choice number one. The rest can follow. So what makes Katrina tick? What is she doing right that the others have not been able to crack? Kats tells t2 she has no plan or strategy. She doesn’t even analyse the successes. She just moves on to the next project. Huh? Yes!‘there are so many battles every day...’“You know, actually when you are in the middle of it all, you don’t see it like that,” Katrina’s usual matter-of-fact, just-chill voice and words greet us on the phone. You congratulate her on ZNMD’s success and the “Thank you” is even more mechanical. As if a new TV show she features in has got good TRPs rather than her big Bollywood film making Rs 82 crore nett at the box office.“There are so many battles every day, so much work which goes on behind the scenes every day. You are constantly fighting the battle, you are constantly struggling and you are constantly working with as much dedication as you can. Okay ZNMD has done very well and you are really happy but you know that there’s the next film, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan releasing in September. You start working on that. You start thinking of how best to put the film out there.”If there’s been one word that has always come up in a sentence describing Katrina — besides “stunning”, “sexy” and “beautiful” — it’s “professional”. That’s the word you will hear if you speak to any of her directors or producers or ad filmmakers. It is that professional approach that has for years even masked her limited acting and language skills. But the nonchalance is not just professional. It is also personal. “There are so many other things... in your head and in your heart... that you can’t really sit and start thinking: ‘Oh! I have had so many hits!’ And I think that’s been a very good thing for me.” The hint of emotion creeps into her voice. “It has never let me be overhappy or overconfident about things.” character, not decoratorOne thing the half-Brit half-Indian stunner does enjoy, though, is how filmmakers do not just want to decorate their films with Katrina Kaif anymore. They are writing roles for her in Bollywood now. You really can’t imagine anybody else as the globetrotting sea-diving instructor Laila in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.“Ya, I think that is really nice,” she says, her voice now actually mirroring some excitement. “You do get a deep sense of satisfaction when you get a character which people really appreciate. Whether it’s a Raajneeti or Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara or an Ajab (Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani),” she says before remembering to plug her new release. “....and that’s actually what I am really hoping happens with Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.”For starters, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, the new Yash Raj Films release, is promoting the film on the shoulders of Katrina. The song Dhunki, where Katrina is seen as a desi rockstar working the crowd from stage, smoking a bidi and finally being arrested, is already a rage.“That’s not the entire film,” Katrina laughs. “That’s the portion where Dimple Dixit, my character, is in college. Dhunki is basically a college song. She is like this wild girl who plays the guitar and is in that space. So the song which goes from Delhi to Agra kind of sets up the college life. When we come back to her, it’s four years later and she is like any normal girl now. Not a rockstar anymore but her characteristics remain the same.”She isn’t that sure about where this one will go although she loved shooting for the film co-starring Imran Khan and Ali Zafar. “Even though on the surface it may look like a regulation romantic comedy, my character is completely, completely different,” Katrina explains. “Either people are going to love it or think that Katrina needs to go to a mental asylum. It’s a completely mad character... she is really wacky, really carefree in a loud way. The film is in a fun space... probably the space I like the most... from all the films I have done. That way this is a very important film for me, very important to know how my character is accepted.”It’s a no-brainer that the film, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and releasing on September 9, will get a huge opening. Not only does it star the ZNMD girl but also the Delhi Belly boy. “It doesn’t matter what I think of the pair or it doesn’t matter what Imran thinks,” Katrina again switches to matter-of-fact mode. “What matters is what the audience feels about us. That is something we will only know on the Friday. We have tried our best, had a blast making the film, we have really sunk our teeth into it, we both were doing only this one film at that time. We shot in pretty rough locations, not very glamorous places... didn’t stay in glamorous accommodations.”‘this is my job...’The unsaid formula of the Katrinisation of the Bolly box office is her brilliant PR skills. For everyone who thought that a certain Mr Salman Khan would kaput her career post their break-up, he is not only doing a film with her — Kabir Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger — he even requested her to do an item number in his Bodyguard, starring Kareena in the lead.As an industry insider observes: “Everybody has camps in Bollywood but despite being Salman’s girlfriend for so many years, you still cannot put Katrina in any camp. She and her box-office success are beyond all that.”Now, Katrina has done the impossible. Yes, signed a film with Shah Rukh Khan. The woman whose birthday party started the mahayudh between Salman and SRK will star opposite King Khan in Yash Chopra’s next. She is also very smart when it comes to working with GenNext — Ranbir to Imran. “Everyone whose name you mentioned, tell me one reason why I would not do a film with them,” Katrina shoots back. “If the film has a good script and you like it and you want to do it, you do it. This is my job. This is where I am working. I haven’t had an issue with any of them that would make me not work with them.”This Dhunki girl clearly knows how to make everyone dance to her dhun.

Katrina Kaif pissed off with rumors

Katrina Kaif, whi is in catfight with Anuska Sharma for sharing the make-up man. That was a rumour and now another thing is also added that Kareena is in angered with Katrina.
Salman khan’s Sister is Katrina’s friend who produce the movie ‘Bodygaurd’ ask her to do just one “Mukha” not a full song just a opening stanza of the song.Actually that song was planned to shot with Kareena but Producer shot the song with Katrina. This makes Kareena angered like that the rumours arised.
Katrina replied to the reports as,” These rumours that make us look like children in a playground, are so disheartening. We are not like that in real life.”Katrina says, “Despite being in the industry for so many years, I have never asked for recognition.
When I see people stooping down to that level, it’s upsetting. Give me a little bit of respect. I have worked here for very long .Just because someone is poking me, doesn’t mean I have to respond. Such reports are a sign of foolishness. it’s upsetting. Give me a little bit of respect. I have worked here for very long.”

Katrina Kaif, who is paired opposite Imran Khan for the first time, turns rockstar in Mere Brother......Katrina Kaif’s decision to do two Yash Raj Films (YRF) with the warring Khans - Salman and Shah Rukh - has raised eyebrows, but the actress is unperturbed and argues there are no camps in Bollywood.

Katrina is set to start shooting with Salman Khan for Ek Tha Tiger next week and her film with Shah Rukh, which is veteran direcor Yash Chopra’s untitled venture, is expected to go on floors in a few months’ time.

"There is a problem, there is a misconception that the media has (that there is a camp system). We all have different equations. Friendly, not so friendly, but everyone respects everyone’s individuality. There are really no camps or something like that," Katrina told IANS in an interview.

New York was Katrina’s first film with YRF and after that she signed their Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and now the two films with the two Khans.

Glimpses of Katrina’s rock star look in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, where she will be seen puffing a bidi and strumming a guitar in tattered jeans and a tee, have created ripples of excitement among her followers. And the actress explains her new avatar as her endevaour to offer something fresh in each film to avoid being boringly predictable.

"Small things make the difference. You are doing two films a year. Even if you are showing something, which is a little different from the previous film, then the audience doesn’t get bored," said the 27-year-old, who has been part of the industry for eight years now.
"If I can do 15 percent better or add on something with every film, then people would not bear the impression that I am not putting in my hard work."
The directorial debut of Ali Abbas Zafar, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan is a romantic comedy where Imran Khan and Pakistani singer-turned-actor Ali Zafar play leads opposite her.
The recent favourite of the YRF banner, Katrina believes that Mere Brother Ki Dulhan is the right film to collaborate with Imran.
"It’s a romantic comedy, very exaggerated tongue-n-cheek kind. It’s a little bit larger than life, louder like my film Aajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. For Imran and me, it was a very new space. We didn’t know each other much and there had to be a fine-tuning, which eventually helped us to get into the characters that we are playing. It was a nice first film for both of us to do together," said the actress, who has so far made a successful on-screen jodi with Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor.
She revealed that the film has a close resemblance to filmmaker Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s 1975 classic comedy Chupke Chupke that boasts of amazing performances by Dharmendra, Amitabh Bachchan, Sharmila Tagore, Asrani and Om Prakash. "It’s on the line of Dharamji’s Chupke Chupke," said Katrina.
To bring reality to her character, Katrina learned to play guitar and her knowledge about the instrument helped her portray the character of a rock singer more convincingly in the film.
"I am learning the guitar. For an actor it’s really easy to be a rock star. Wear some boots, wear some jeans, wear kajal, dishevel your hair, hold a guitar and strum the strings. I can actually hold the guitar right as I know how to play it," said Katrina.
Mere Brother Ki Dulhan is set to hit the theatres on September 9.

1576482Actress Katrina Kaif has had an eventful journey in Bollywood and she credits all success to people who have stood by her throughout. While people have gone and come, a few of them have stood by her through her good and bad times.
Talking about it she says, “There have been different people at different times in life. My family has always been by my side, my management guys who have worked with me. You do make friends but sometimes that changes as well. Some people come into your lives and then they go away.”
As an actress she has improved and grown, but she finds it difficult to rate herself as an actress.
“I would never be able to rate myself. My job is to entertain, do a good job and get better with each film. It is the audiences decision to judge how good I am.”
While it is a life, most people dream of living, Katrina admits that it does get lonely at times, especially because of the hectic lives that actors lead.
“It gets very difficult at times. Doing a film takes up so much of your time because when you do a film you are absolutely into it. For three months that unit becomes your family and then once the film wraps up, that world ends. You are constantly on the move and that can get lonely at times but you have to understand that is how it functions and look forward.”
While talking about friends, much has been written about her apparent equation with actor Deepika Padukone. Without even battling an eyelid, she says, “Too much has been written about me and my apparent equation with Deepika and everyone. Basically anyone and everyone is written about. Whenever I interact with any of them, I am cordial and things are fine.”
While we are at it, we ask her if it is possible for two actors to be friends and she says, “That depends on every individual. You may be able to make friends with people you are working with or you may not. I guess the issue is time because we are constantly on the move. But that really is subjective.”

Actress Katrina Kaif is upset with a report that she cancelled the shoot for Yash Raj Films’ Mere Brother Ki Dulhan because her favourite make-up man Subhash was unavailable as he had booked his dates for Anushka Sharma.

Katrina, 27, said people should not pull her down by writing such false stories and should give her respect considering her contribution to the industry.

"That was something really disheartening. I am not that kind of person who ever stood up and says, ’Look what I have done, look at me’ or asked for any kind of respect or recognition or walked around with any kind of ego.

"But when I see people stoop down to that level and write these kind of stories, that’s the only time I feel that I am not asking for recognition, but a little bit of respect after these years I have worked in the industry. Please don’t pull me down to this level," Katrina told IANS.

The actress entered Bollywood in 2003 with Boom. Though Boom bombed, she went on to deliver hits like Namastey London, Singh Is Kinng, Race and Raajneeti.

Releasing Sep 9, the directorial debut of Ali Abbas Zafar, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan is a comedy where Katrina is teamed up with Imran Khan and Pakistani singer-turned-actor Ali Zafar.

The current favourite of YRF, Katrina, will be also seen in their Ek Tha Tiger opposite Salman Khan and Yash Chopra’s next undeclared directorial venture opposite superstar Shah Rukh Khan. She has teamed up with Anushka in the latter.

"Anushka is a lovely girl, starting off her career now," she said.

Actor Katrina Kaif may have been born in Hongkong and living in Mumbai for last couple of years working in Bollywood, but she feels for the terrible situation that London is in currently; after all, it’s a place where she spent a couple of years growing up.
“Two of my sisters live there, but they are fine. It is very shocking and also a good reminder about the volatile situation in the world. Everything is transient and unstable today in the world we live in. But my family is safe,” she says.
Katrina, who’s been in the news for doing an item number for rumoured ex flame actor Salman Khan, addresses the many stories that suggest that she’s on an item number spree.
“The one in Salman’s latest film is not an item number. It is small part in the title track. But the other rumour of doing an item number with Sanjay Dutt for the film Agneepath is absolutely untrue,” she clarifies.
The actor also denies having opted out of Ayan Mukerji’s film with Ranbir Kapoor for Salman.
“There is nothing like opting out. The YRF films — Ek Tha Tiger with Salman and the other film with Shah Rukh Khan — were commitments made long before. There are films that will be discussed. Sometimes they happen, sometimes they don’t. It’s that simple. I haven’t chosen anyone over someone else.”
What does Katrina feel when she’s called the item queen or a numero uno?
“I don’t think there is any relevance in trying to gain any position. As long as I am getting good work and am happy with what I am doing, it’s fine. I am not interested in getting any title as such. Besides, we have names, whats the point of having numbers?”
An interview with Katrina is incomplete without asking that one question on Salman, Khan, especially since her on-and-off relationship with him is constantly speculated upon.
“If you have to be sane, you have to become immune to it. If you talk about being happy in love, feeling joy in love, feeling pain in love, that’s pretty normal and every girl in the world goes through it, but writing about it, publishing it is different. My equations with Salman has not changed,” says Katrina.
“Whatever our journey has been and the changes that has taken place in our relationship, it has been very well documented. There is no avoiding that. But we know how it is and that is the way it will remain. We still continue to be friends,” she says.

Her Anglo-Indian looks have earned her many an accolade. In spite of her father being from Kashmir, Bollywood hottie Katrina Kaif had never visited the beautiful state of Jammu and Kashmir.
But thanks to a reality show shoot, she got a chance to do so.
A source from the show adds, “She was very excited when she reached Kashmir as it was her first trip here. Katrina said her father never visited Kashmir after the family moved to out, nor did she ever got an opportunity to visit, even for shoots. She said she thought that Kashmir looked like something out of a fairy tale movie!”
On her trip, Katrina says, “I mean the opportunity did not come up because obviously my family and my father have not been here in many, many years. I also feel there is a time for everything and may be this was the time Kashmir was supposed to happen.” Seems like Kat was bowled over by Kashmir.

Katrina Kaif’s success story is a combination of hard work and a heavy dose of luck. Criticised for acting, diction and language at the beginning of her career, Kaif today is in an enviable position having signed three movies with Yashraj Films, and might grab that coveted role opposite Aamir Khan in Dhoom 3. She tells Priyanka Pereira about her journey to the top and pairing with Salman Khan, though this time just on screen.

After a rather unconventional role in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobaara , will Mere Brother Ki Dulhan take you a notch higher?

It was a very risky role because the character Dimple did not fit in as the traditional Bollywood heroine. We had this joke going on where people told me, that after watching this film my fans are going to send me ’Get well soon’ cards--they are either going to think I am crazy or simply love the character.

Katrina Kaif
Katrina Kaif has taken a dig at heroes who are much older than her in age. She says she is far more comfortable working with actors of her age. The older-men club includes Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, as both the actors are quite older to her.

"I don’t think anyone will mind if I say it’s very different working with older heroes because the age difference is about 20 years, and just about two to three years with the younger heroes with whom you can be mischievous," she said.

Though Salman has been her boyfriend for several years, the actress realised this now that the age-gap is far too wide between the two.

On SRK she said: "I don’t know what it will be like working with Shah Rukh but I have heard that he makes his heroines comfortable".

Katrina Kaif, who is working with Shah Rukh and Salman Khan in different projects says its not her responsibility to facilitate a patch up between the warring Khans, after their friendly relations soured following a showdown at her birthday bash few years ago.
Katrina will be working with both Salman and SRK under Yash Raj Films banner. The film with Salman is titled, ’Ek Tha Tiger’, a romantic thriller, directed by Kabir Khan of ’New York’ fame. The film will be released in 2012.
While Shah Rukh will romance Katrina in an untitled film, to be directed by veteran filmmaker Yash Chopra, who is making a comeback to direction after seven-years. He last directed ’Veer Zaara’ in 2004.
They both are my co-stars for different films and at the end of the day we go to our respective houses. It (their enmity) does not have any impact on me. And I am glad that I am working with two senior...respected professionals in the industry. I think they can handle whatever their equation is between them. I am not common between the two," Katrina said

Katrina Kaif is getting set to shuttle between two big projects — one each with industry rivals Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. While
shooting for Ek Tha Tiger with ex-boyfriend Salman will begin next week, Yash Chopra’s romantic film with Shah Rukh goes on the floors in
a few months.

And although the actor is excited to work with the latter, she’s scared and unsure of what to expect. “I’m terrified of working with SRK. I don’t
know what it’s going to be like, but I hear he makes you feel comfortable,” she says, adding, “The other day, I wanted to ask him
what I must do if there’s a scene where I am supposed to look at him longingly, but I can’t act when I stand in front of him. What if the
words don’t come out? What if I choke?”

Salman-Katrina will be seen together in Ek Tha Tiger....

Even then, Katrina claims that unlike many of her contemporaries, she hasn’t grown up in awe of her co-star. “I’m sure he hasn’t seen me either when I was a kid. We both come with a clean slate in that regard,” she jokes.

SRKMeanwhile, Ek Tha Tiger marks her return to working with Salman, three years after co-starring in Yuvvraj (2008). She says, “Salman and I acted in two successful comedies together and one film that didn’t do well. I was a part of Ek Tha Tiger even before they approached him. After New York (2009), Kabir (Khan) and I became good friends and he narrated the film to me a day before I started shooting for Zindagi… Salman was cast much later.” She adds, “It was a coincidence. Why should we not do a film together? We are grown-ups and I am comfortable working with him.”

When asked whether it’s tough to be working with the archrivals, Katrina denies it vehemently: “This is a misconception in the media.

All of us are fairly responsible individuals and decently well-behaved people. We all have separate and different equations, which are
sometimes cordial and sometimes not so friendly. Everyone must respect that person’s individual equation. Camps don’t exist.”

In 2010 Katrina Kaif walked to Karan Johar’s house asking for a Dharma Production. She wanted to be the girl in the Dostana sequel. Karan was obviously flattered.
Unfortuantely for Kat, Tarun Mansukhani the director of Dostana has been stuck without a second half for the Dostana sequel. So the film has been long delayed in the making.
When Kat heard Ayan Mukerjee was casting a leading lady opposite her estranged boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor for a Dharma Production, she once again sent out feelers seeking the role.
A trade source says, ``Since Kat is the No 1 Bollywood girl today Karan and co were reportedly flattered
with her interest in the project.
However when it came to the crux, Kat happily chose Aditya Chopra over his best friend Karan Johar. Since she had a choice between allotting dates in the month of November 2011 to the Shah Rukh-Yash Chopra project or the Ranbir Kapoor-Ayan Mukerjee project, she chose SRK and Yashraj over Ranbir and Dharma.
A source says, ``Kat has clearly played favourites and this has reportedly not gone down well with some at Dharma.
However Karan Johar maintains a good equation with Katrina on the face of it. So naturally no one is willing to say anything on record.

Katrina seems to get along with all her male co-stars really well.

Hrithik, Abhay, Farhan, Saif, Imran, Ali Zafar...the actress is good friends with almost everyone!
Although, her equation with alleged beau Ranbir Kapoor today is undefined, the actress shares a common passion with the Kapoor heartthrob.

Katrina too loves to strum the guitar like Ranbir and she too is a beginner when it comes to learning the musical instrument.

Katrina however seems a notch higher considering she has her celeb costars teaching her the guitar!

Katrina told TOI, "Yes, I am learning to play the guitar. I have even played it a bit in my forthcoming film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. I just know three chords so far though."

She added, "Farhan Akhtar taught me how to strum the guitar during Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and then it was Ali Zafar who is a real life pop star and my co-star. They both have helped me accomplish my dream."

Katrina who gave a live dance performance on the occasion of the music launch of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan not only dressed up as a rockstar but knew how to be one too.

Katrina Kaif is candid enough to confess that it is more fun working with the younger heroes than the older ones.
In the beginning of her career she worked with senior actors like Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar. She was paired with the younger actor like Ranbir Kapoor in the recent past in films like Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and Raajneeti that were successful, and then she did a Yashraj film with Imran Khan - Mere Brother Ki Dulhan which is about to release.
"I don’t think anyone will mind if I say that it is very different working with older heroes because the age difference is of about 20 years, and just about two to three years with the younger heroes with who you can even do nonsense on the sets. For instance, Imran would come on the sets, he would kick me playfully...at times there would be nothing constructive what we were doing..there is so much bachpana.."
And one senior actor Katrina is terrified working with is Salman’s arch foe Shah Rukh Khan. She will soon romance Shah Rukh on the big screen. "I don’t know what it will be like working with Shah Rukh but I have heard that he makes his heroines very comfortable which is good. I am only on hi, hello terms with him and now I am doing Yash Chopra’s romantic film with him! I look at him longingly but am always short of words while in his company," says Katrina.
When pointed out that lot of actresses of her age claim to have grown up watching SRK movies, Katrina says that she is an exception. "I have not grown up watching his movies at all. He is now, he is there and I am here now and I look at it from that angle. And I definitely don’t think Shah Rukh Khan has seen me growing up either," she jokes.

Inspired with the relationship between her "Mere Brother Ki Dulhan" co-star Imran Khan with his wife Avantika, Katrina Kaif has decided to produce her first film.
She will do her first ever truly intense, romantic film, a period film to be precise, with Imran.
The idea of a ’janam-janam ka saathi love-forever’ film struck Katrina when she watched Imran interacting with his wife.

Katrina later told a friend: "I felt a pang of envy for Imran’s wife whose husband is so devoted, so ’all-there’ for her and so not into cheating on her at all." She may even write the screenplay herself.

"It is my fantasy love-story. The kind of ideal love that I don’t think is prevalent in today’s day and age. When I see Imran with Avantika I see a togetherness spanning an entire lifetime," Katrina said.

"I see them grow old together. That’s not something I see in too many relationships these days. Imran is really devoted to his wife. That makes me feel so good about life and so hopeful about love," Katrina said.

Katrina added: "We recently shot some very romantic songs in Agra for ’Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’. Imran came across as very romantic on screen. We even did a takeoff on Salim-Anarkali as a small part of a song

When asked would she like to play a role in patch up between the two Khans, Katrina said, "It is hardly my place. I don’t think it is my responsibility." The friendship between King Khan and ’Dabangg’ Salman came to an abrupt end after an ugly spat at Katrina’s birthday in 2008. Since then, Salman and Shahrukh have been at odds. Salman has even gone to the extent of saying that he and Shah Rukh cannot be friends. Though SRK has thrown hints that he wants to reconcile with Salman, the latter seems to have ruled out that possibility.

NEW DELHI: Cricket may have been the flavour of the season with the back-to- back World Cup and IPL in the first half of this year, but top advertisers such as Hindustan Unilever, Procter & Gamble, Idea Cellular and Panasonic have largely stuck to film actors to endorse their brands.

Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif emerged the most visible celebrity on television in terms of advertising volumes during January- June, according data from television ratings firm TAM. She was followed by Shah Rukh Khan, M S Dhoni and Kareena Kapoor

Commenting on the study, Katrina Kaif said, "These studies are cyclical. What matters is consistent performance over the long term and this is what I choose to focus on, be it in my movies or my brands."

Consistency clearly is one thing most Indian cricketers lack as is visible from the Indian team’s disastrous performance so far in its England tour. And, despite India’s success in the world cup, only two cricketers, captain MS Dhoni and master batsman Sachin Tendulkar, made it to the Top 10 most visible celebrities.

"Bollywood stars definitely bring more recognition to a brand than others," said Mehul Choksi, MD of the country’s largest jewellery maker Gitanjali Gems, which has hired Katrina Kaif to endorse its Nakshatra brand. Gitanjali Gems, which was among the top 10 advertisers on television in the first half of the year, however, paired cricketer Sreesant with actress Riya Sen to endorse its Rivaaz brand.

Mumbai: People are raving about Katrina Kaif’s rockstar image in her upcoming film "Mere Brother Ki Dulhan", but not just in films, the Bollywood actress is trying to master the art of strumming even in real life and Pakistani actor-musician Ali Zafar is helping her achieve her goal.

Ali is Katrina’s co-star in "Mere Brother Ki Dulhan", which is a love triangle and also stars Imran Khan and during the shoot of the film, he gave Katrina some guitar lessons.
"It was great working with Ali. The nice thing is that Ali is also a musician and since I’m learning how to play the guitar and I’m very interested in it, I’m trying to learn from
whoever I can.Katrina Kaif

"Farhan (Akhtar) taught me some stuff during ’Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ and Ali has also taught me some stuff during this film. He is a good teacher and we are trying to get into a form where we can play a live song together in one of the promotional events for this film very soon," Katrina told reporters at the music launch of the film.
Imran, who was present at the event, lauded the 27-year-old actress’ guitar skills.
"Katrina is very good with the guitar. I was quite amazed when I saw her playing," said the actor.
The actress was recently gifted a guitar by Farhan Akhtar as a belated birthday gift.

Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma
Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma
Katrina Kaif has a new ego trip, and at the wrong end of the Bollywood supercat’s stick is Anushka Sharma. The amusing bit about the fact is that the whole fight is over a make-up man! Here’s what happened: Katrina needed her favourite make-up man, Subhash, at Yash Raj Studios for some last-minute patch-up shoot of her upcoming film, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.

Subhash it seems has been Katrina’s chosen pancake man ever since he worked with her in Ram Gopal Varma’s 2005 hit, Sarkar. The trouble is Subhash was already scheduled to fly off to London with Anushka Sharma for a two-day live show, around the same time as Katrina wanted him.
When Katrina realised Subhash wouldn’tbe available, She declared she wouldn’t shoot for the rest of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan unless she got the make-up man of her choice. Finally, Yash Raj Films (YRF) top honcho Aditya Chopra had to personally intervene," said a source.
Chopra of course was treading a thin line. On one hand, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan is YRF’s biggest release this year and Katrina is right now the banner’s favourite star. Apart from this film, Kat will be seen in two YRF biggies next year.

The first is the Kabir Khan directed, Salman Khan- starrer Ek Tha Tiger. More importantly, Anushka and Katrina will be sharingscreen space with Shah Rukh Khan in an untitled film that will mark the return of Yash Chopra as director.

On the other hand, Anushka has been a lucky mascot for the production house. Handpicked from a bunch of wannabes to star opposite SRK in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in 2008, she became an instant star and has followed up her successful debut with the YRF hits such as Band Baaja Baaraat and Badmash Company. Anushka also has a YRF film titled Ladies Vs Ricky Behl opposite Ranveer Singh coming up later this year.

While both actresses are vital for YRF, Aditya Chopra obviously realised Mere Brother Ki Dulhan was more important at this point, considering the film is slated to release on September 9. So, Chopra, reportedly decided to convince Anushka to let go of Subhash.

The hapless make-up man’s London trip was cancelled despite his tickets and visa being in order. For Subhash, here comes the sad part. Kat’s shoot for Mere Brother Ki Dulhan had to be postponed. "The poor man had to suffer losses because of starry power games. He lost out on the London assignment and Katrina’s shoot also didn’t happen," the source said.

Come September, Sanjay Dutt will be matching steps for an item song with Katrina Kaif in producer Karan Johar’s remake of Agneepath.

Katrina, who just shimmied to an item song in Salman’s Bodyguard, has agreed to set the dance floor on fire with Sanju Baba for the film.

Dutt has decided to take two weeks off to rehearse his steps and will shave his head off for the third time in the film.

On Monday, Dutt shaved his head for the second time to stay true to his character of Kancha Cheena.

Dutt’s business manager Dharam Oberoi confirmed, "Yes, he has shaved his head again for some patchwork shooting. He will also have to shave his head off in September."

The song to be composed by Marathi brothers Atul and Ajay Gogavale of Singham fame is being carefully guarded. The composers havebeen asked not to say a word about it.Reportedly, the number would be on the lines of Laxmikant-Pyarelal’s chartbuster Jhuma chooma de de in Mukul Anand’s

This Independence Day, a special edition of Jai Jawan will travel to north of the country, Naushera to be specific and gracing the show would be, Bollywood’s leading actress- Katrina Kaif. Situated in the heart of Soon Valley, 130 kms from Jammu, Naushera gained prominence during the Mughal Era, due to the route from Delhi to Srinagar.

The importance of Naushera in today’s time (with respect to the Indian Defence Services), is that it’s an area, where POK can plan major territorial gains.

Katrina Kaif is said to have taken some time off from her busy schedule, to spend some quality time with the Jawans. She experienced all the obstacles, a Jawan undergoes during his training. She confidently participated in various army activities, the most significant one being- handling an AK 56 riflle. The jawans enjoyed the experience of playing Tug of War and Volley Ball with the leading lady. A special highlight of the show would be, Katrina watching the handling of a Bofors gun.

She enjoyed riding Army bikes and interacted with the Jawans and also with some of their families. She spoke to them about their lives, her upcoming movies and ensured that she got a smile on the faces of all the Jawans, who lead a hectic life, away from their families just to protect our country.

New Delhi: Voting is on in full swing in the second phase of the country’s most democratic people’s choice awards – Bhaskar Bollywood Awards. Your votes will decide the superstars and superhits of Bollywood.
Interestingly, you can also decide the winners in two innovative categories, Filmi Chakkar (the year’s most interesting gossip) and Grab a Headline (stars who were in the news for reasons other than their performance on screen).
Here, Katrina Kaif seems to be a hit with the audience with three nominations across these two categories. She’s already been nominated for three other categories - Abhinetri No 1, Jodi no 1 and Dhamak-e-dar Item.
In Filmi Chakkar, the audience can vote for the Katrina-Salman breakup. Guess the readers have not been able to get over the fantabulous duo, as they’ve voted for them despite the duo making no public appearances together since a year. They can also vote for the Ranbir Kapoor-Katrina Kaif link-up.
Read: Hrithik Roshan on his nomination for Guzaarish
The audience also seems extra concerned about the breakup of the formerly hot couple - John Abraham and Bipasha Basu. They have also nominated the Siddhartha Mallya-Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh-Anushka Sharma link-ups.
Another interesting category is Grab a Headline, for the biggest newsmaker of Bollywood. Katrina figures in this list as well, due to her reported kiss with Ranbir Kapoor on a flight, en route to Mumbai.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her once upon a time good friend, Madhur Bhandarkar seem to have completely taken over the internet, thanks to Aishwarya’s controversial pullout from the director’s ambitious project, Heroine and the problems the he had to face thereafter!
The audience has also nominated Deepika Padukone after her advise to Ranbir to endorse a condom brand and Shahid Kapoor, who was caught in shorts at Priyanka Chopra’s apartment. Bombshell Yana Gupta’s commando act (of moving out sans a panty) has confirmed her a slot in the top list.

Katrina Kaif

After going ’desi’ in Tees Maar Khan as Sheila and turning a cool biker in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Katrina Kaif has experimented with her look all over again in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan where she has gone grungy for her rockstar act in ’Dhunki’. While the look has certainly been noticed, it has turned out that she is finding herself in good company as far as the ’grunge factor’ is concerned.

"Before Katrina, quite a few other leading ladies have gone through this avtar, some with successful and a few with not-to-successful results", says a stylist, "Aishwarya Rai’s look in Dhoom 2 stays on to be the most popular of them all, especially in the song ’Dhoom Macha Le’ where she had taken the grunge route with a vengeance as she matched steps with Hrithik. That stays on to be unforgettable and has pretty much stayed on to be a benchmark."

Other top actress who finds a special mention in the list is Kareena Kapoor who wore a two piece bikini for ’Chhaliya’ but is remembered more for ’Dil Dance Maare’ from the same film Tashan. "It was more of a rockstar hippie look and could have actually gone a long distance had the film being successful", the stylist continues, "However it was quite a sport on Kareena’s part to actually carry off that look."

Comparatively Katrina’s ’Dhunki’ look is relatively safer since the makers haven’t gone overzealous but still have styled it enough to go well with the mass as well as the class crowds.

"This is a first for Katrina and she has carried it off pretty well", says a fellow actor, "A look like this is always a dicey affair since it could go either ways. Thankfully it has been balanced well as is pretty much in synch with the setting of ’Dhunki’ which is at Taj Mahal. It’s a fusion of ’desi’ and ’videshi’ flavour that Katrina has carried off with aplomb."

Well, one can pretty much say that Katrina was in safe hands as her makers, Yash Raj Films, have a tradition of making their women go grungy in majority of their biggie outings.

"They have a thing for the grunge", chuckles a senior member of the film fraternity, "They showed hints of that in Dil To Paagal Hai as well where Madhuri had danced in a grunge look for a sequence or two. The experiment didn’t quite work though with a newbie like Tanisha Mukerjee for Neal ’N’ Nikki or Rani Mukerji in Ta Ra Rum Pum where she tried to take this route in the song ’Ab To Forever’. However Preity Zinta and Lara Dutta compensated for that during a few key scenes in Jhoom Barabar Jhoom. Katrina should now be taking the tradition further."

Now we see two beautiful and gorgious actresses Katrina and Deepika to work together in the new film ‘Housefull’.Hope theaudience like these actresses in this film and appreciate both of her.Yes, we are talking about the two warring and beautiful ladies Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif. It was on the sets of ‘Koffee With Karan’ that Deepika spilt the beans on the reason of her break-up with Ranbir Kapoor, indirectly blaming a certain Katrina Kaif.

Even before Ranbir Kapoor sets to rock the big screen as a rockstar in Imtiaz Ali’s next, his rumoured ex Katrina Kaif has managed to master the art of playing the guitar.
Katrina Kaif in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan

The actress, who apparently plays a musician in the film, was so keen on getting her notes right she that would ardently practice the guitar whenever she’d get the time.

Thankfully, for her, there was a well-established musician within the crew to help her from going out of tune.

Says Pakistani singer Ali Zafar who also plays an important part in the film, "Katrina is a very curious girl and quite keen on learning new things.

I used to tease her a lot about the way she used to hold the guitar and play it. But she made sure she got it right."
Ranbir Kapoor in his upcoming film Rockstar
A song in the film called Dhunki requiredthe actress to perform in front of a huge crowd, and she obviously wanted to get her moves right.

Adds a source, "She is someone who lived on fruits, and kept away from anything oily for two months before Sheila Ki Jawani was shot. That way, she is quite obsessive about getting her act right."

Clearly for Katrina, whose roles have been as conventional as it gets, to play a rock chic even for a day was a bigger challenge.

Adds Ali, "It is easy to typecast someone, but I always used to tell her that I want to see her with kohl under her eyes, messy hair and completely wild. I must say she managed to do justice to it too."

The actress will also share the stage with Ali Zafar and Imran Khan during the promotions of the film where they plan to perform gigs across different cities.

Katrina Kaif is one of the hottest girls on the planet and over the years, she has been stunning us with her various avatars. From her biker chick attitude in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara to her guitar strumming act in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, she never ceases to surprise us. Kat now appears as army girl clad in cargo pants. The gorgeous actress was recently in the battle torn realm of Jammu & Kashmir interacting with the Indian troops during a visit to a forward post right on the Line of Control (LOC).

This entire program was undertaken for a television show. Katrina was there on a three day visit along with the TV crew to see the jawans in Janghar at Nowshera sub-sector, Rajouri district. Further the lass even had lunch, and danced with the jawans.

Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif turns designer!

Mumbai: Bollywood siren Katrina Kaif is surely multi talented. Katrina has already proved her acting abilities and now the pretty lady is all set become a designer.

Katrina recently dropped the offer to work opposite ex-beau Ranbir Kapoor in Ayan Mukherjee’s film and went ahead with the offer to work with SRK in Yash Chopra’s next.

That’s not all! Apart from sharing the screen space with King Khan she will be designing her own clothes for the film.

It seems, Katrina likes to give her own personal touch to the clothes and accessories that she wears for her roles in her films. In fact, she even went shopping with Rocky S for her rock-chick look in Yashraj`s ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’.

Inspired by the immense response she received for her bohemian rock-star look, the actress approached Yash and Aditya Chopra about designing her own clothes in Yash Chopra`s next directorial venture.

Therefore, Kat is all set to be the actress cum designer in her next film.

Katrina said to a daily, "I was always interested in fabric, clothes and designing. Maybe I would have been a designer by profession, if I didn`t start acting. For the rock-chick look in ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’, is not the first time I went shopping for my own clothes and accessories.

I dress minimal and unfussy. So deciding my own clothes for my characters is not a big deal."

Katrina is expected to dress up in true Yashraj style for this film opposite SRK. That means the look will be very elegant, sophisticated and graceful. The thought of dressing herself in desi clothes has made Katrina extremely excited.

Well, we as fans can’t wait to see what Kat will wear and how she will look!

Katrina Kaif clearly has her priorities sorted out. Given a choice between a film with Ranbir Kapoor or another with Salman Khan, she would side with Salman.
All the persuasion by director Ayan Mukherjee to rope in Katrina Kaif opposite Ranbir Kapoor in his next directorial venture (his first being Wake Up Sid) has come to naught. Katrina has politely turned down the offer citing the reason that she doesn’t have dates to spare.
The lady is going to be busy working with her ex flame and box office’s current blank cheque Salman Khan in director Kabir Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger. After this YRF film with Salman, she will shoot for another YRF film with Shahrukh Khan.
However, producer Karan Johar, who is producing Mukherjee’s film with Ranbir, hasn’t lost heart over not being able to work with Katrina so far. He first tried signing her on for Dostana 2 but the film’s future still looks uncertain. His second attempt to rope in Kat for Mukherjee’s film too has come a cropper due to unavailability of dates.
However, we now hear that Karan Johar plans to approach Katrina Kaif again for another film to be directed by the Kurbaan director Rensil D’Silva next year. Katrina is believed to have expressed her interest in the project and need we mention that it would most likely star Salman Khan, and not Ranbir, opposite her.
Salman Khan seems to top Katrina’s priority nowadays.

In Yash Raj Films’ ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’, actress Katrina Kaif will be seen in an all new avatar. Reportedly, Kat will be seen performing like a rockstar in the film.
For the song ‘Dhunki’ in MBKD, the actress looks like a bold and sexy rock star, holding a guitar, singing and performing in front of huge gathering.
Interestingly, in the song, the actress even smokes a bidi to give her look a daring twist.
Dressed in a white T-shirt and bright orange pants, Katrina managed to get the rock-star act by strumming the guitar and performing. However, some people, who saw the promos, are not quite happy with her new avatar.
According to latest buzz, a poll was conducted to find out how many people liked Katrina as the rock star in the ‘Dhunki’ song’, and it was found that only 43 percent were impressed with the actress’ trendy rock star image.
While 53 percent feel that she doesn’t fit the bill as a bold retro rock star, since it doesn’t go well with her real cute image.
Katrina wants to be in good books of Salman
Superstar Salman Khan’s career has skyrocketed, ever since ‘Dabangg’ and ‘Ready’ became the biggest hits.
And apparently after that the actor’s market value has also peaked to such great heights that he is now considered to be the most wanted actor in the industry.
It appears that after witnessing Salman’s success, his ex-flame Katrina has become too close with the actor.
Katrina apparently has given full dates for YRK’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, where she is paired opposite Salman
, by canceling all her prior commitments just to focus on this film.
Talking about Katrina’s friendship with Salman, a source said, “Undoubtedly Salman and Shah Rukh are the two most powerful Khans in the industry today. And currently Salman’s market value is a notch above than his contemporaries. He is hit on both small and big screen.
“So no actor today can afford to mess with him or be in his bad books. Therefore it seems his good old friend Katrina too understands the situation and is now trying to make the most of their friendship. But now until one sees their rekindled chemistry on screen it is hard to comment if this jodi will click again.”
The actress is making use of every opportunity for drawing nearer to Salman’s, ever since the actor has become one of the most powerful men in industry.
Katrina gets a surprise gift from Farhan
Recently, actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar threw a party just to celebrate the huge success of ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ with the film’s cast and crew.
During the party, the filmmaker gifted Katrina a guitar after watching her new rock star act in the promos of ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’.

Actress Katrina Kaif has chosen to work with current reigning star Salman Khan and Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan over Ranbir Kapoor.
Katrina had to refuse filmmaker Ayan Mukherjee of ’’Wake Up Sid’’ fame, a project which is to be produced by Karan Johar, citing unavailability of dates. Reportedly, Ranbir was part of it.
According to sources, in spite of trying to work dates for close friend Karan’’s film , Katrina had to opt out of the film due to prior commitments. Katrina was very keen on working with Karan but could not rework the dates to allot for the film.
Presently, Katrina is working around her schedule with ex-beau Salman’’s film, ’’Ek Tha Tiger’’ and next with Aditya Chopra’’s untitled film with Shahrukh.

"Katrina had to turn down the film with Karan and Ayan, both of whom she is very close to. She tried her best to accommodate the dates but it was not possible, since she had already committed to ’’Ek Tha Tiger’’ and Aditya’’s film with Shahrukh. She does however look forward to working with them in the near future," a friend of Katrina said.

The fact is well-known by now that Salman Khan picked up a nasty fight with producer Bunty Walia at the birthday party that Sanjay Dutt threw for his wife Maanyata on July 21. The truth about the ruckus is only coming out now.

Our mole informs that Salman, who was already drunk when he arrived at the party, had been miffed with Bunty ever since the producer broke up with the superstar’s brother Sohail Khan as partners in the business of film production. The fight at the Dutt mansion however, had nothing to do with the Bunty-Sohail rift.

Apparently, Katrina Kaif wanted to remake a French film named Swindlers in Hindi, as was widely reported a while back. The film was meant to have marked Katrina’s debut in Bollywood as a producer, and the buzz was that Katrina wanted to launch her sister Isabelle Kaif as a Hindi film heroine with the venture.

However, the deal fell through and Katrina gave up the idea of buying the right of Swindlers. What with her busy schedule, Katrina, it seems, has no time to focus on filmmaking for the moment.

"It was then that Bunty Walia, who knew that Katrina had earlier wanted to buy the rights of Swindlers, picked the film and decided to remake it in Hindi. Salman came to know about this and was not too pleased. That was the reason he clashed with Bunty," a source said.
