Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif walked the ramp for designers Karan Johar and Varun Bhal.

Topless models displaying shorts and swimwear, A-list celebrities, elaborate sets, an impressive front row and some foot tapping music - the duo of Karan Johar and Varun Bahl pulled out all stops and left no stone unturned at the grand finale of the Van Huesen India Men’s Week (VHIMW).
It doesn’t take much to figure out that any showcasing by Karan Johar, be it TV, film or fashion, necessitates a certain degree of Bollywood presence and support.
It comes as no surprise then that actors and showstoppers Katrina Kaif and Imran Khan stole the spotlight as they walked the runway, dressed stylishly in tailored black suits.
Though Katrina remained the centre of attention, looking glamorous in a sequined blazer, kudos to Imran Khan as well who not only managed to match her stage presence, but also held his own, looking dapper and youthful.
The duo will be seen together soon enough on the big screen in their next release Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, scheduled for release later this month.
With plenty of ’ male cleavage’ on display, bright colours and white linens, the whiff of the Mediterranean breeze was all but obvious in the pro-ducer-designer duo’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection.
This being their second fashion outing, Karan Johar and Varun Bahl took inspiration from the French Riviera, Côte d’Azur, and also Italian fashion as the dominating influence that underlined their prêt collection which was titled the ’ Mediterranean Dream.’ Cowl neck tees, light weight jackets, linen suits in summer yellow and orange were on display in this semiformal collection with a twist of resort chic.
Neutral shades of beige, ivory and grey teamed with denims, mulmul trousers, structured jackets and flowing cardigans created the perfect combination of the preppy and wearable clothing line.
No menswear collection can be hailed complete without a dose of black and charcoal and so, the duo showcased a good amount of the typically masculine shades in their collection.
Summer layering was highlighted with an interplay of the soft and rigid, the translucent and the solid. Printed silk boxers, luxe silk jerseys, net pullovers and even the oddball sequined silver blazer for men added a dash of glamour to the well received line-up.
