Never let it be said that the Bollywood gossip industry doesn’t have a sense of humor! Today, of course, is April Fool’s Day, and a few Indian media sites have risen to the occasion with hilarious "gotcha!" stories about stars such as Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai, and Katrina Kaif.

http://myblogfor-katrinakaif.blogspot.com/The biggest "tricked you!" story to appear was an excited headline which read "Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Releases Beti B’s Pictures!" The website Bollywood Life lured curious readers into their big April Fool’s joke with the promise of a much-anticipated photo of Aaradhya Bachchan, ateasewhich no doubt left some gullible readers very disappointed!

But that wasn’t the only surprising headline—another announced the impendingmarriageof Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. That story certainly needed its disclaimer—Sallu and Kat have become close again during the filming ofEk Tha Tigerand the marriage announcement probably seemed real to many readers!

Speaking of Salman, another trick story claimed that he had patched up his feud with Vivek Oberoi. Sadly for Vivek, the entire piece was a work of fiction.

Lastly the Times of India got in on the fun, announcing that Aishwarya Rai would take over for Amitabh Bachchan as the host ofKaun Banega Crorepati, with little Beti B in tow.

Of course these stories are all in good fun, but the sites which print them ought to be careful that they don’t offend the stars they’re good-naturedly toying with! The last thing any newspaper wants is an angry Vivek Oberoi or Salman Khan stomping into the newsroom, demanding these jokes be retracted!
