Looks like Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone may have to fight it out for a vital role in Hollywood filmmaker Rob Cohen’s next film, Jewel Of India.

"I love Deepika Padukone. Deepika, wherever you are, I know you’re getting married soon but I’m looking for you," Cohen recently told a Dubai- based daily, adding: "She’s gorgeous. I think she is more beautiful than Angelina Jolie." Katrina, meanwhile, has already met Cohen, fuelling reports about her presence in the mega budget venture, produced by Firoz Nadiadwala. But neither Katrina nor Nadiadwala has confirmed anything yet about the actress’s featuring in the film.

Cohen is the director of Hollywood blockbusters such as The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, Stealth, XXX and The Fast And The Furious . The buzz is the filmmaker loved Deepika in Nikhil Advani’s recent dud Chandni Chowk To China . "I thought she was, in both characters, perfect," he said, referring to her double role.

Cohen is on the lookout for another character who may be a dancer. "And we may find her in a club or something, which would incorporate some Bollywood dance sequences," he said.

Nadiadwala’s big budget film, with an approximate budget of Rs 280- 300 crore, is making news due to its international star cast. Not long ago, it was reported that Cohen is in talks with Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Monica Bellucci, Cameron Diaz and Eva Mendes for various roles in the film, though the filmmaker has termed Pacino and Monica’s involvement as a rumour.

"Monica doesn’t fit in this movie. She is a gorgeous woman but this is an action movie and the women will do just as much action as the men. Monica would be running and you wouldn’t be able to focus on anything else," he joked in the interview. While on Pacino, he has said: "Al is very specifically American. He is a New York, Italian guy. He wouldn’t be living in Mumbai," said Cohen.

The filmmaker feels De Niro might still look like "some sort of soldier of fortune or opportunist that’s hiding out in Mumbai from crimes" he committed.

"That’s why I’m more interested in him," he said, adding he won’t go after the stars until the script is finalised. "Until there is a script and all the money together it’s too uncertain.

You need to go to these people and have a definite game plan," he said.

For those who came in late, Amitabh Bachchan and John Abraham were also approached while Cohen was in India. Jewel Of India revolves around the Kohinoor diamond. It’s about a student who discovers a document that makes him believe that the diamond in the Tower of London is not real. Instead, the real diamond is somewhere in India.
